When selecting the appropriate label printer for your operation it is important to consider what your operational requirements are and what type of printer can best meet these needs. There are two types of label printers to choose from, a mobile label printer and a desktop label printer.
Please note, to auto-print from the CartonCloud mobile app your printer must be capable of ZPL command language.

Setting up Printers with CartonCloud Connect
For information on setting up your printers with CartonCloud please see Printing from CartonCloud (Printer Setup).

Printer DPI Requirements
For reliable label output:
-
Use Zebra printers with consistent DPI across all label printing stations — we recommend 203 DPI.
-
Avoid mixing 203 DPI and 300 DPI printers in the same environment.
-
If you must use 300 DPI printers, ensure they are configured to emulate 203 DPI mode (refer to your printer’s documentation).
-
CartonCloud labels are optimised for 203 DPI output and may not render correctly on higher DPI settings without additional setup.
Label Sizes
For Pallet (POP) Labels and Consignment Labels, the 100x150mm Direct Thermal Labels are compatible with the printers mentioned above (This can also be 101x149mm).
For Wave Pick Labels, 102 x 74mm labels are compatible with the printers mentioned above.
