Purpose

When a Manifest arrives at the warehouse but one or more of the Consignments are still yet to arrive you can split the Manifest.

By splitting the Manifest you are dividing the Manifest into the Consignments that have arrived and the Consignments that are pending arrival.

Benefits of splitting the Manifest when not all Consignment have arrived:

  • The data in CartonCloud will accurately reflect what has physically occurred.
  • It will increase visibility to all users on what Consignments have and haven't arrived.
  • It will be easier to manage the remaining Consignments when they do arrive.

  • Select View from the Actions column within the relevant Manifest.
  • Click the Sort Arrivals button at the bottom of the page.

  • Confirm the Consignments that have arrived by clicking the tick box next to the relevant Consignment and then selecting Confirmed

  • Once confirmed, select the Options tab.
  • Select Split Non-Confirmed.

To split a Manifest before it arrives:

If you receive prior notification that the Manifest will only partially be arriving you can split the Manifest to prepare for what will arrive and what will arrive later.

  • Navigate to the Manifests page (by typing in Manifests in the Search for anything bar).
  • Select View from the Actions column within the relevant Manifest.
  • Click the Split button from the bottom of the page.

  • Click the Add New Manifest button at the bottom of the screen.

  • Name the second Manifest. In the below example, the Manifest is called '2nd Coastal Coffe Company Pickup' to easily identify the Manifest that will be arriving second.

  • Grab and move the relevant Consignment to underneath the new Manifest.

  • Select Save.
