Scan allocation enables allocation of consignments to drivers by simply scanning a Consignment Barcode, Con-Note QR code, or QR Code Overlay for Customer Invoices. You can also use Consignment Reference numbers for allocation which is useful if you have Invoice paperwork from your clients that contains a barcode - simply scan the barcode on their invoice and the job will be allocated.

Barcode numbers and reference numbers can also be keyed into the system using the keyboard - simply press enter after each reference.

Scan Modes

The scan mode you select will define what action occurs within CartonCloud upon a consignment being scanned. Each scan mode is explained in further detail below.

Allocate - Simple

Allows you to allocate the consignment to a driver and delivery run on a selected date. This will cause a run sheet to be created OR it will allocate the consignment to an already created run sheet if one exists for that driver, on that run, for that date.

If a driver is already allocated prior to scanning, then that allocation will be overridden.

Allocate - Advanced

Allows you to allocate the consignment to a run sheet and driver, and either leave it on the already selected delivery run (based on consignment address) or override the delivery run. Optionally, the carrier can also be selected overridden.

If a driver is already allocated prior to scanning, then that allocation will be overridden.

Unallocate from Run Sheet

Allows you to unallocate the scanned consignment from a run sheet or will notify you if the consignment is already not on a run sheet.

Mark into Warehouse

Allows you to the scanned consignment from the status of "Awaiting Pickup" to "In Warehouse".
