Adding manual charges to an Invoice

Purpose

If you need to add a manual charge to a Customer's invoice. This is useful for charges that do not fit within the current charge configurations, a particular order or storage period. In addition, the charge may be a one off and therefore, is not worth adding to the Customer's Rate Card. 


How to add a manual charge to an Invoice 

Note that the invoice must be in Draft status. If it is not in Draft status, you will need to revert the invoice status; please click here for steps on how to do this. 

  •  Navigate to the relevant Invoice, More>Invoices>select the applicable Invoice
  • Select +Add Invoice Total to Invoice

  • Select the Invoice Class the charge relates to.

  • Name the charge. Ensure the name clearly identifies what the charge is related to. 

  • Enter a description of what the charge relates to. 

  • Enter the charge amount in the Income. If issuing a Credit to a Customer please see Adding a credit amount to an invoice.

  • ​​​​​​​Click Save

  • This will now appear as a new line on the Invoice Totals and be added to the total invoice amount.
