- A manifest is stock coming into the transport management system. It's a grouping of jobs from one customer on a single day. For example, you may pickup multiple pallets from a client each day and then bring them back to your warehouse for splitting into individual deliveries. All of these consignments would have been "manifested" on a single manifest.
A run sheet in CartonCloud however, is consignments going out of the warehouse. Remember: When allocating jobs to drivers you create run sheets (not manifests!)
- Delivery Zones link Postcodes and Suburbs to Delivery Runs and Rate Zones. As Consignments contain addresses which have postcodes / suburbs, the postcode and suburb are looked up in the Delivery Zones list in order to work out which Delivery Run to allocate too, and also which Rate Zone to price using.
- Export / Import Delivery Zones to get them done in bulk.
- No you can just use a single Rate Zone called "Metro", then simply load individual Customer Charges against the same Rate Zone, so "Metro" is charged differently depending on the customer.
- Create a "customer-specific" Delivery Zone for that particular suburb / postcode which links to the Outer Rate Zone.
- Create a Delivery Run called "Pickup" which is linked directly to the Rate Zone "No Charges". Then for all consignments being picked up, allocate to the "Pickup" Delivery Run - this will then charge nothing. You can also have these jobs appear on a tablet or phone for signature capture in the warehouse automatically without needing to perform driver allocation via: Automatically allocate Consignments to Drivers from Delivery Runs

- The Invoice Value is used when charging percentage of invoice for the delivery fee.
- An income rate zone is used to calculate what the customer pays for the work. The expense rate zone controls what you pay to the supplier (ie: contract driver). You may have fringe-areas that you charge to a client at an Outer rate, but pay the driver at a Metro Rate, therefore CartonCloud allows you to specify the Income Rate Zone and Expense Rate Zone independently within each Delivery Zone.
- As CartonCloud is designed around a Cross-Dock model, prior to the manifest being updated to "In Warehouse", consignments are not allocated to a particular date for delivery. This is because until the manifest arrives at the depot, we're not entirely sure which day the stock will go out and be delivered. Therefore, manifests need to be updated to "In Warehouse" when received at the Warehouse so their consignments can then calculate when they'll be delivered (using Delivery Schedules). If this step is not performed, you'll see the consignments show up as "Future Dated", rather than assigned to a particular date.
- There are several. The first to check is the Delivery Zone is linked to the correct Delivery Run. If that's already setup, check that the Suburb / Postcode provided in the Consignment exactly matches your Delivery Zone (it's surprising how often people provide the wrong post-code, or mis-spell the suburb). Note that you can simply edit the Addresses postcode / suburb so they're correct for next time. Even if the job is imported via a parser, the corrected address will be used through the use of Address Strings.
- Generally no. If the driver is doing deliveries across multiple Delivery Runs on a single day, it can be much easier for them if they have multiple run sheets. On the Mobile App, jobs can be setup to be segregated by Delivery Run, making it easier for the drivers to find particular jobs within the list. You can also use multiple run sheets to split say AM deliveries from PM deliveries (assuming the driver comes back to depot, reloads, then goes out again).
- When a run sheet is deleted, the jobs on the run sheet are unallocated so you can allocate them again on a new run sheet.
