Recalculating Consignment Charges

Purpose

If you edit a Consignment that is already attached to an invoice that is  not yet Approved and the Consignment charges are  not yet finalised, then some updates to the Consignment can cause the charges to be recalculated. 


What determines when Consignment charges are recalculated

In the case that you are editing a Consignment that is already attached to an invoice that is not yet Approved and the Consignment charges are not yet finalised, then updating certain fields will trigger a charge recalculation in the background. In this case, the new charges will be displayed against the Consignment and on the invoice. However, if the charge recalculation causes a charge error, then the charge error will be displayed. 

If you edit the following fields, a charge recalculation will be triggered:

  • Customer
  • Collect Address
  • Delivery Address
  • Service Type (only applicable for V2 of CartonCloud)
  • Customer Reference (only applicable for V2 of CartonCloud)
  • Consignment Data Custom Fields (only applicable for V2 of CartonCloud)
  • Consignment Items and associated Custom Fields (only applicable for V2 of CartonCloud)

Please note ad-hoc and manual charges are not impacted and are retained on the Consignment.
