Miscellaneous Charges

The next group of charges we will cover is Miscellaneous charges. Miscellaneous charges can be found within the Rate Card and are charges that may not be covered in your picking and putaway charges but are still relevant to your operations and how you wish to charge your customers.

Charge Description
Per Invoice Administration Fee An administration fee applied to every Invoice generated, this appears as a separate line item on the Invoice (separate from Freight, Warehousing, Storage etc).
Per Invoice Minimum Fee A minimum amount applied to the whole invoice generated, if this amount is not met by the total invoice amounts, an additional charge amount will then be loaded to the invoice to bring the total charged on the invoice up to the amount specified here.
Warehouse Charges Minimum Fee A minimum amount applied to the warehouse charges generated (this is Handling Pick Page Charges and Storage Charges), if this amount is not met by the total warehouse charges amount, an additional charge amount will then be loaded to the invoice to bring the total charged on the invoice up to the amount specified here.

Nick will apply miscellaneous charges to his customer’s rate card, he believes the minimum charges and the per invoice admin fee will help ensure the company is profitable each time a customer is invoiced while also ensuring that customers are charged fairly and correctly.

Manual Charges

The last charges we are going to look at are income charges. Income charges allow you to manually charge jobs at an individual order level. Income Charges can be applied to Consignments, Manifests, Purchase Orders, Sale Orders, Storage Periods, and Run Sheets.

Nick is glad to know that CartonCloud’s rating system is flexible ad there is an option to add manual charges to orders that are outside the charges already configured. At Coffee Warehousing and Distribution some of the work they do for customers is a one off or out of sope of their usual services and rates, therefore, income charges will be an easy solution for these circumstances.  

Income charges are only recommended if the charge is unique and is not a charge applied consistently. Repeated charges should only be applied using Adhoc Charges or charges set up in the Rate Card.
