Generating a Consignment from a Sale Order

Purpose
Consignments can be automatically created from a Sale Order upon packing completion or once picked, depending on your setup and workflows. This setup will be different depending on what CartonCloud modules are used:
- WMS & TMS Accounts: Consignment will be automatically generated from the Sale Order upon packing completion or the Sale Order being imported.
- WMS only Accounts: Warehouse Fulfilments (a type of Consignment) will be automatically generated from the Sale Order upon the order being picked. This set up is to be utilised in conjunction with the Pack Screen.
WMS & TMS Accounts Set Up
To enable automatic Consignment generation from Sale Orders for WMS & TMS CartonCloud accounts the following settings need to be enabled:
- Navigate to Customers, Users > Customers.
- Select the Customer you wish to enable the workflow for.
- Click Edit.
- Select Warehouse Management > Sale Order.
- Scroll down to the section labelled Consignment.
- Update the Automatically Generate a Consignment from a Sale Order setting to either Yes, when Sale Order is Packed Only or Yes, on Sale Order Import or Pack Completion. Each setting is described below:

Default Sender Address for Consignments Generated from Sale Orders
If you display the Sender Address on Manifests / Run Sheets, it can be important to show a specific Sender Address for each customer for whom you pick stock for. This option enables you to specify the Sender Address for the automatically generated consignments. If nothing is provided here it defaults to the address of your Warehouse.
WMS Only Accounts Set Up
WMS only CartonCloud accounts can access Warehouse Fulfilments (a type of Consignment). This helps facilitate the Pack Screen workflow, where a Warehouse Fulfilment is generated once the Sale Order has been picked. This workflow allows for the product to be packed into the package (Consignment Item), print labels and complete the order fulfillment process.
By enabling Warehouse Fulfilments, an additional Sale Order status of 'Picked' will be enabled and allow the use of the Pack Screen.
Warehouse Fulfilments are optional.
To enable Warehouse Fulfillments and use the Pack Screen:
Warehouse Fulfilments are enabled from the Organisation Settings and can be further controlled at the Customer level (if you wish to only enable it for certain customers).
Organisation Settings
This will turn on Warehouse Fulfilments for all Customers.
- Navigate to Organisation Settings, More > Organisation Settings.
- Click the Warehouse > General tab.
- Scroll down to the setting Automatically Generate a Consignment from a Sale Order.

Yes, when Sale Order is Picked Only - a Consignment (Warehouse Fulfilment) will generate when a Sale Order is picked.
Yes, on Sale Order Import or Pick Completion - a Consignment (Warehouse Fulfilment) will generate when a Sale Order is imported or upon pick completion.

If you wish to turn this off for certain Customers, you will need to do so from the Customer Settings - Warehouse Management (Sale Order Tab)
